![]() They won't wait for you! - but equally they will expect you to listen to them, be able to keep time and respond musically rather than simply playing as though to a CD. I would suggest looking instead at some chamber music where you will build not just some stamina and "keeping up" resources but the general musical skills needed to play with other people. The Vivaldi in D is probably the closest, I would suggest that to do it without serious overload needs about Grade 7-8 its a piece I've done myself a few times, and have coached some players in it too. The issue is partly speed and partly the sheer mobility, stretch and power needed to sustain this kind of thing. ![]() I don't obviously want to be a terrible downer on this but I feel this is a premature ambition - not least because there are no concertos of any kind that can possibly be put into a grade 4-5 bracket, except for a few bars here and there.
